ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity between internal systems and external partners within fintech and payment ecosystems. The position ensures reliable data exchange, supports payment and billing operations, and enhances scalability through API-led and event-driven architectures.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

1. API & Integration Development

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Build scalable and secure integration solutions across internal and external systems.
• Ensure APIs comply with enterprise standards and interoperability requirements.

2. Payment Systems Integration

• Design and implement integration workflows and data pipelines.
• Ensure accurate and efficient data flows across systems.
• Maintain consistency and traceability of transactional data.

3. Data Integration & Flow Management

• Design and implement integration workflows and data pipelines.

4. Requirements & Solution Design

• Apply enterprise integration patterns and best practices.
• Contribute to API-led and event-driven architecture design.
• Participate in architecture reviews and governance processes.

5. Integration Architecture

• Apply enterprise integration patterns and best practices.

6. Development & Technology Implementation

• Develop integration solutions using C# (.NET) or Java.
• Apply CI/CD and DevOps practices in development lifecycle.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.

7. Data Analysis & Financial Transactions

• Analyze payment and billing data flows.
• Support reconciliation and financial data validation.
• Ensure alignment with financial data models and standards.

8. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Document API specifications, integration designs, and technical decisions.
• Maintain reusable integration components and standards.
• Evaluate emerging fintech and integration technologies.

9. Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

10. Information Security

• Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in Integration, Cloud, or Software Development are a plus.

Years and Nature of Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in software development, APIs, integrations, or data engineering.
• experience in REST APIs, enterprise integration patterns, payment gateways, billing systems, SQL, and cloud platforms with good understanding of payment transaction flows and reconciliation.
