ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

The role exists to support the successful integration of acquired companies and realization of investment value by developing and executing integration plans, identifying and tracking value creation and synergy opportunities, coordinating cross-functional integration activities, and monitoring associated risks and performance to ensure alignment with Elm’s strategic and investment objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

  1. Integration Planning & Execution
  • Develop and coordinate integration plans for acquired companies across relevant functional and operational areas.
  • Define integration activities, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor execution and identify issues affecting successful integration.
  1. Value Creation & Synergy Realization
  • Identify and assess value creation and synergy opportunities across portfolio companies.
  • Develop mechanisms to track value capture initiatives and expected benefits.
  • Analyze progress against value creation targets and recommend corrective actions where required.
  1. Pre-Close Integration Readiness
  • Support pre-close activities by assessing potential integration requirements and priorities.
  • Collaborate with investment and target company teams to understand key operational considerations and potential value creation opportunities.
  • Support the development of integration readiness plans in alignment with transaction objectives.
  1. Cross-functional Integration
  • Coordinate integration activities with relevant functions including Strategy & Planning, Human Capital, Finance, Technology, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment between Elm and portfolio company stakeholders throughout the integration process.
  • Track cross-functional dependencies and follow up on agreed integration actions.
  1. Integration Performance Monitoring
  • Develop and maintain integration progress tracking and performance reporting.
  • Monitor milestones, synergies, value capture, and key integration indicators.
  • Prepare management updates highlighting progress, challenges, risks, and required actions.
  1. Integration Risk Management
  • Identify and assess operational, organizational, and execution risks associated with integration activities.
  • Develop and track mitigation actions in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support due diligence activities related to integration and value creation considerations.
  1. Portfolio Company Value Support
  • Support portfolio companies in addressing operational and strategic challenges that may affect value realization.
  • Analyze key performance gaps and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations and insights to support sustainable value creation.
  1. Stakeholder Management & Coordination
  • Maintain effective communication with investment teams, portfolio companies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare analysis, presentations, and recommendations to support integration and value creation discussions.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on key decisions, actions, and stakeholder commitments.
  1. Policies, Processes & Procedures
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  1. Information Security
  • Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    Professional certifications related to corporate finance, strategy, project management, or mergers and acquisitions are considered an advantage.            

Years and Nature of Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in corporate development, post-merger integration, strategy, transaction advisory, value creation, or related fields, with exposure to cross-functional integration and performance improvement initiatives.
