ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

The role exists to support the implementation, operation, integration, and maintenance of enterprise applications by performing application support activities, resolving technical issues, supporting system changes and testing, and maintaining application documentation. The role contributes to the availability and reliability of corporate systems and supports the delivery of application solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

1. Enterprise Application Support

• Support the operation and maintenance of enterprise applications and corporate systems.
• Perform assigned application support activities and service requests.
• Monitor application performance and availability within assigned responsibilities.

2. Incident & Technical Support

• Investigate and resolve application incidents and technical issues.
• Provide technical support and escalate complex issues when required.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring technical issues.

3. Application Implementation

• Support implementation and deployment activities for new systems and application enhancements.
• Perform assigned configuration and implementation tasks.
• Assist in validating application readiness prior to deployment.

4. Systems Integration

• Support integrations between applications, platforms, and enterprise services.
• Assist in testing interfaces and identifying integration issues.
• Coordinate with relevant technical teams to resolve identified issues.

5. Requirements Support

• Support the collection and documentation of functional and technical requirements.
• Assist in translating business requirements into system requirements.
• Coordinate with business users to clarify application requirements when needed.

6. Testing & Validation

• Perform system testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Document testing results, defects, and identified issues.
• Support retesting and validation following issue resolution.

7. Application Changes & Maintenance

• Support approved system changes, updates, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues resulting from application changes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of application performance and usability.

8. Documentation & Operational Support

• Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, interfaces, and integrations.
• Update technical and operational records following system changes.
• Support application-related operational activities and improvement initiatives.

9. Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

10. Information Security

• Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Years and Nature of Experience

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in application engineering, enterprise applications, software development, application support, or related technology areas.
