ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

The General Manager – Business Logistics Products is responsible for defining, developing, commercializing, and scaling innovative logistics products and solutions that drive revenue growth, market differentiation, and customer satisfaction. The role leads end-to-end product strategy, startup incubation, go-to-market execution, business development, and customer experience initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives and evolving market demands.

1. Logistics Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for logistics products and services.
• Identify market opportunities and customer needs to develop innovative logistics solutions.
• Ensure product portfolio aligns with organizational growth objectives and market demand.

 

2. Product Development & Commercialization

• Lead the design, development, testing, and launch of new logistics products.
• Establish product value propositions and commercialization strategies.
• Monitor product performance and implement enhancements to maximize market success.

 

3. Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership

• Develop and execute GTM strategies to drive customer acquisition and adoption.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations teams for successful product launches.

• Measure and optimize product penetration, revenue growth, and profitability.

 

4. Startup & New Venture Development

• Lead logistics startup initiatives from ideation through implementation.
• Develop scalable operating models and business cases for new ventures.
• Establish agile execution frameworks to accelerate time-to-market.

 

5. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

• Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and commercial opportunities.
• Negotiate and manage key partnerships with logistics providers, technology partners, and enterprise customers.
• Support expansion into new markets and customer segments.

 

6. Customer Experience & Innovation

• Drive customer-centric product design and service innovation.
• Establish customer feedback mechanisms and service improvement programs.
• Leverage analytics and market insights to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

 

7. Pricing & Revenue Management

• Develop pricing models and revenue strategies for logistics products.
• Conduct profitability analysis and optimize product economics.
• Monitor market competitiveness and adjust pricing approaches accordingly.

 

8. Leadership & Organizational Development

• Build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop talent while ensuring succession readiness.

 

9. Governance, Compliance & Market Intelligence

• Ensure compliance with applicable logistics, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on market insights.

 

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.










Years and Nature of Experience

  • Minimum 8–12 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or related industries.
  • At least 5–6 years in logistics product management, commercialization, or business leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Logistics product development and innovation
  • Startup or venture launch environments
  • Go-to-market strategy and commercialization
  • Pricing strategy and revenue management
  • Business development and strategic partnerships
  • Customer experience transformation
  • Experience within leading logistics, e-commerce, courier, transportation, supply chain, or digital logistics organizations is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing P&L responsibilities.
