The Project Manager Manages the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short-term project or long-term project. Usually projects has a beginning and an end as well as specific deliverables. The Project Manager also manages the Profit & Loss of his projects’ by monitoring and controlling all aspects of the Projects’ to meet the objectives of the Department and Elm. A Project Manager starts facing external clients and is responsible for proper communication and customer satisfaction
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Responsible for managing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction.
- Assemble key players on the project team.
- Direct, motivate and manage the people and manage the work and resources involved.
- Delegate responsibility and task interfaces.
- Question blurry responsibilities and manage conflicts to an early resolution.
- Establish and update plans with actual and forecasts And manage deviations from plan.
- Manage and deliver the required product(s) For each project, phase or stage.
- Ensure quality is achieved as planned.
- Deliver to time and cost within agreed tolerances.
- Balancing the needs of project, client, organization.
- Report to respective stakeholders.
- Escalate decisions and any unresolved issues.
- Conclude the work upon completion or premature cessation.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure the visibility of the Business Case and/or Project Brief, as appropriate.
- Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented Identify the stakeholders and verify the Key Success Indicators as the basis for managing the project.
- Establish or confirm guidelines applicable to the project
- Obtain and manage all necessary services and competent staff for the project
- Approve or recommend all required commitments and liaise with supplier and contractor representatives
- Prepare short-term plans or stage plans as the project progresses
- Ensure timely activity, integration and productivity of technical support and administer efficient use of resources to meet requirements With clear identification of task completion
- Approve all appropriate project expenditures
- Track and report progress Including realistic forecasts of final target positions
- Manage trade-offs between scope, quality, time and cost
- Enable quality assurance and quality control as appropriate
- Facilitate project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation
- Escalate issues to the next level of management
- Facilitate communication as appropriate to all involved and "manage" the stakeholders
- Document, obtain approval, and track all changes in project parameters
- Document all obstacles, delays, and claims
- Ensure satisfactory transfer of "Care, custody and control" of product upon completion
- Prepare an end of project report
- Close all project documentation and archive appropriate records
- Performs other duties as required
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information System or Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
- PMP Certified
Years and Nature of Experience:
- Minimum 5 Years of relevant experience in a related industry
- Experience in IT projects
- PMP Certified
