ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

To design and deliver end-to-end digital experiences across Business Products portfolios by translating business objectives, customer needs, and product requirements into user-centered, scalable, and visually compelling digital solutions. The role is responsible for supporting user research, UX design, UI development, design system adoption, and product experience optimization while ensuring consistency, usability, accessibility, and alignment with product and business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

1. User Experience Analysis & Journey Design

• Map end-to-end user journeys and task flows across complex, multi-step, and multi-role experiences
• Identify pain points, gaps, and opportunities and propose improvements supported by research and data.
• Contribute to cross-product journey and service mapping.
• Facilitate workshops with relevant stakeholders to align on user needs and experience solutions.

2. Design System Ownership

• Contribute to and extend shared design systems through reusable components, patterns, and interaction guidelines.
• Ensure consistency across products while considering accessibility and usability standards.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation and alignment between design and development libraries.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and governance of the design system.

3. Product Partnership & Impact

• Translate business and product objectives into clear design solutions and alternatives.
• Communicate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations to Product, Business, Engineering, and senior stakeholders.
• Manage and prioritize design activities across concurrent projects.
• Define success measures and contribute to evaluating the impact of design decisions after launch.

4. Hands-On UX/UI Design & Craft

• Develop information architecture, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Design complex, data-rich digital experiences including dashboards, portals, operational tools, control centers, booking and fulfillment platforms.
• Ensure production-ready designs address responsive behavior, accessibility, edge cases, and different interaction states.
• Use Figma and other professional UI/UX and visual design tools to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Provide design critique and support the development of junior designers.

5. Design-to-Development & Innovation

• Work closely with Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure design intent is translated accurately into the final product.
• Understand design-to-development workflows and communicate effectively with technical teams.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI-powered design tools and apply relevant technologies to improve design workflows and outcomes.
• Explore innovative approaches to improve user experience, design efficiency, and product quality.

6. Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

7. Information Security

• Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong experience designing B2B and/or Government digital products, with exposure to complex, data-rich, and multi-role platforms
• Hands-on experience in user research, usability testing, and UX evaluation.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, responsive design, accessibility, and WCAG principles.

Years and Nature of Experience

3-5 years of professional experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or a related field.
