Senior Engineer Job

ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

To deploy, maintain, and optimize Elm’s core IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, and data center components. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of the organization’s technology backbone, enabling seamless digital operations and supporting business continuity across all platforms and services.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

1. Infrastructure Deployment and Support

• Install, configure, and support servers, storage, and network devices.
• Ensure infrastructure components operate effectively and securely.

2. System Monitoring and Performance

• Monitor system performance and uptime across data centers and network layers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain service continuity.

3. Maintenance and Optimization

• Perform regular maintenance, patching, and upgrades of hardware and system software.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.

4. Security and Compliance Support

• Apply security policies and controls across infrastructure systems.
• Assist in audits and ensure compliance with IT governance standards and procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
• MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification is preferably

Years and Nature of Experience

• 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a related industry
